Day 1 - Melbourne to Mildura

After packing like mad the night before, we were ready to head off to Mildura, Victoria at around 10:30am.




Traffic was shocking through the city and at the start of the Calder Fwy. After the first pit stop (of many) at McDonalds, we revived ourselves and were ready to head off again.

We drove for awhile and stopped for gas at Charlton.




And of course, a tea break!




We continued on until Ouyen, where I met a hunky footballer, he said his name was Woody ;-)








The rest of the drive was quiet; the area is quite flat with a lot of grain silos.




We came across an awesome signpost not far from Mildura







We arrived at Mildura around 6:30 and went to the local RSL for dinner.



Next stop Broken Hill!
